RE: Link
On Monday morning I will be calling this school and attempting to find out who paid for the appearance of this La Raza jackass. My guess is the California taxpayers funded his trip to Santa Rosa, so he could help the poor illegals feel good about themselves as they pursue their goal of destroying the greatest nation on earth. Whose idea was it to have this worthless puke visit a public school? This is absolute insanity. Not only are we paying the cost of educating these people we are expected to pay for speakers to come and encourage their worthless existence. Why doesn't the PD print articles about heroes talking to students, police officers and fire fighters who put their lives on the line to keep us safe. That's not news, but this spokesman for The Race coming to Santa Rosa, that's big news. |

?? The guy told students to do good in school, and pursue college? |

Re: "...who paid for the appearance of this La Raza jackass."
That's pretty funny,heavybuddy...A speaker comes to school and tells the kids it's important to take their schoolwork seriously and it's important to seek higher education----and you say he's a jackass? Uh, guess who sounds like a jackass? No, I take that back---you'll need a few more years of education to improve to jackass level. I don't want to lower the critter to your level... And I don't think he told the kids to "wisen" up... |

If illegals need to take anything seriously, it's US law. If this guy was serious about teaching kids to be good students and responsible adults, first and foremost he would be encouraging them to obey the law, go back where they came from, enter the country legally and apply for citizenship. They have no business seeking higher education in America unless they are here legally, and express loyalty to this country. Why the hell should my tax dollars go to pay for a La Raza goon to go tell illegal aliens to stay in public school, at taxpayer expense, so they can grow up and take over the country? As I said, I will find out who paid for this slimeball's appearance, and if it was in fact the California taxpayers, you will hear about it. |

Umm, I have a question, how did you come up with your whole immigration rant with this article? Maybe it's just me, but I don't see how a guy telling kids to do good in school, and go to college is a bad thing. |
Because 4 out of 5 of those students are illegal aliens or children of illegals. What part of the word "illegal" don't you understand? Maybe you need to go back to school. |
Oh I'm sorry I didn't know you had access to their personal information stating whether their illegal, or their anchor babies. My apologies for wanting to be reasonable and go on what was stated in the article. |

Ah. CREO. I get it. As in "No creo que este programa CREO vale un carajo."

“Every action you take, good or bad, doesn't just affect you, it affects your parents, your family, your neighborhood, your school, your generation,” he said. “If you are a Latino out there acting a fool, they'll say all Latinos act like fools. .
.. You represent so much more than yourself.” That seems directed at one type of race, eh? |
We all need the Jaime Escalantes, Victor Villesenors, the Dr. Eugene Garcias, and Edgar
Sotelos. Perhaps heavybuddy needs to hear them more than most but that's OK. It sounds like this guy is pretty down and out. The students left inspired to make themselves better, and that's all that counts. This is what schools are for. I would be proud to have my tax dollar spent on this speech. Rather, it is mostly spent on implementing dry, prescriptive, teaching and testing for all students. It is being spent on data superhighways to track kids from the age of 4, in preschool, to 12, if they exit high school. It is spent on building an enormous new data highway to track teachers at a continuing annual cost of millions. It is being spent on layers of redundent, unsupportive, and ineffectual administrative layers with lush, new, clean accomodations to support THEM- not kids. If anyone, including our troubled heavybuddy, needs to find expensive waste, honor your value with effort, and peek beneath the veil for the rest of the educational story. All students, especially minority students, teachers, mentors, counselors, assistants, and support personnel are swimming against a tide of misguided policy, distrust, testing, prescriptive constraints, rigorous pacing, and a society that is failing us and them. We need our youth, our citizens, to be inspired. Our blessed free speech has made it so easy to rant, put down, bully, and profile from afar. |
I'm afraid I'm not content to "rant from afar." As I said I will be calling the school and the district office to find out who paid for this slimeball's appearance. You're right about one thing though. Latino youth need to be inspired. They need to be inspired to GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS COUNTRY. |

You are an excellent case for those who say more counselors, reading specialists, sensitivity training/diversity awareness classes, and assemblies like this one are desperately needed in all our schools.
First, you are not comprehending exactly what is written, so I am concerned that you may not be reading for understanding. Have you had your fluency checked? You also have latin genes that your self-shame and simple, repeating, racist remarks betray. Anger and shame are our inner revealers and you have been very revealing to our forum buddy. Study your legacy and share it to lessen the shame and pain. Perhaps you should go to the District Office in person, and ask if they have diagnostic outreach services for your issues while they try to have a civil conversation about school budgets and diversity with you. Good luck buddy. Please go easy on the secretaries, whether in person, or by phone. That's what we do in this country. |
Just wait till the next election "buddy". Your people are going to be SENT HOME where they BELONG, no skiving off of hard working Americans money. COMPRENDE? |
