Yeah, but where's he going to live? You think Sonoma County home prices are high?

While I agree that SR home prices are high and BH ones will be higher, he's probably going to make over 200k. I'm sure he'll find a home to buy. There's been a huge markdown in prices of homes in the LA area, including BH, Malibu, SM areas.

Still more than here, but much cheaper for that area. Homes are languishing there.

I respect your opinion, but he's still going to have a tough time qualifying. Currently the average listing in Beverly Hill is $4.28 Million. The Median Sales price is $1.2 Million.
Even at 1.2 mil, he'll need $240K down (if he's got that in his SR house), and his payments will be around $6000/mo PLUS property taxes that will add another $1500+ per month.

Bottom line, he probably won't qualify at $200k per year. Don't forget the new cars (minimum BMW 5 series at $50K) plus another new one for the wifee. Welcome to effing Beverly Hills.

Bottom line - people who make $200k per year don't live in Beverly Hills.

Well maybe he'll make 300k a year. Still, this house looks good.

Link

And I doubt he'll need 20% down and a guaranteed income plus, most likely a million dollar plus home here, I'm sure he'll be fine, and I'm sure he'll be getting quite a hefty raise. Maybe he'll be making 500k a year? Who knows. I have no idea he'll make but honestly I'm sure he'll be okay.

Thanks for nothing...the worst City Manager ever & he leaving this city in a mess.

Which other city managers specifically are you thinking of when you make the comparison? Are the city's current problems a result of his actions or of the actions of the councilmembers (who hold the real power)?

Don't let the door hit you in the ass as you walk out of here. He leaves the city in a huge mess, one that we will never recover from. He did not know what he was doing, he only had a parks and rec background, as evident of his pet projects. He screwed the police and fire depts and was the cause of the pending litigation with Captain Mitchel. Here is something that is interesting, the investigator that was hired for the Mitchel case was a former beverly hills cop, must have put in a good word for him. Too bad the city of Beverly Hills did not do their homework, they would have found out that he-Jeff is not repsected within the state relm of city managers. Now maybe the city council will make decisions without fear of retaliation from Jeff, it is about damn time they got some balls.

I was thinking specifically of Ken Blackman who is responsible for Fountaingrove. The City Counsel depends upon the City Mgr & City Attorney for their expertise & direction. Many of the CC members who are elected do not have the professional expertise that the manager has.

Nine years of pulling down a hefty salary here in SR and now gets an even bigger salary probably based on what SR kiss-@$$es have been paying him "to get the best and brightest," like they always say.

Only to leave SR in a mess. He knows this city is doomed with the nut cases we've got for city council members.

Nice going, Kolin. You are like all the others; you could give a $h!t less for SR; you are in it for yourself!!!

Now watch SR offer the next candidate $250K! What FOOLS!

I can't blame Mr Kolin for going after greener pastures. We ALL want to make money.

However, as a taxpayer, I see this as a golden opportunity. The City Council MUST reset the salary. We can no longer afford $230K salaries.

There are plenty of qualified people who would accept a salary cap of $100K.

If the City Council offers more than that, throw their butts out!

Have you noticed that Osama Bin Laden and Barack Obama both have friends that have bombed the Pentagon?

Why wait? Let him go now. Who cares what he has done. He wants to leave when the going gets tough and the grass is greener. Change is good! Santa Rosa will be better off!

Praise the lord. This guy has been the WORST city manager in the history of the County. He is corrupt, unethical, dishonest, has lied to the public for years and we finally have a chance to have a better community. But he is not gone for good. He will be getting his little butt up here for court appearances for the next few years because he has a big lawsuit to deal with here. Thank YOU SO MUCH Beverly Hills – we are happy he is YOUR problem now. Thankfully, that is a city that won’t put up with his garbage for more than a year or two and then they will CAN him!!!!!

Am I the only one who sees how perfect it is that Beverly Hills would be interested in a man named colon?

You have to wonder what Blackman got on the sly for allowing Fountaingrove to breach the ridgeline when there were laws against doing that. My guess is he's a rich man because of that illegal move.

My guess is you are right. When they first started building the roads for Fountain Grove they claimed it would be a short cut from Rincon Valley to SR. By the time everyone was aware f what was happening it was too last. The contractor had a no sue clause in it so nothing could be done.

PS. I found the Chapter on you . Can you Guess

WOW... big news... Repugnican elected governors. Who cares after the beating you took in the NATIONAL ELECTIONS just a year ago? I guess this is exciting news if you're a Repugnican.

As for Glenn Beck, et al. They dumb down the information just enough for you to buy into what they're selling. They get rich, you get badly misinformed, but you just keep on drinking the koolaid. They love your kind. Slooooooow and steady, afraid to ask important questions, easy to rally with rhetoric. Kind of reminds you of Germany in the 1920's - 1945.

Your posts are antagonistic rock throwing and character assignations.
You seem smart, how about using it to make for an interesting point or dazzle us with your visions.

Yes, and very shrewd! Both he and his wife, Dee. She was behind a LOT of it!
