I bet INFO will be posting here before too long...hopefully s/he will answer my ever pending question...Is the City Attorney on a $5k per month use it or loose retainer?

Again, if the answer is YES then using the City Attorney to answer questions did NOT cost the city any additional monies.

Mr. Barich said several times that he does not take a salary. That's twisted truth. He keeps his salary in the city coffers where it waits for him to pick it up. The money can't be used for city services. Mr. Barich said in an e-mail to the City Finance Director in April, "I'm not saying the city does not owe me the money...this obligation can be revisited."

All this "controversy" for a 'town' of what, 7000 people?

Cardinal Newman football games get more attending than that.

Well, last night was very interesting, l was there. George was finally not attacked by liberalists. The bastard yesonrecall crybabies had their voices calmed down. It was still nice seeing the town drunk "John Moore" stumble in all red faced and relax not on a barstool but a chair. George Barich clearly won the debate, because the other candidates skirted the questions, and he answered them honestly. One question to the forum was, would you ever vote on an unbalanced budget. George as the only one man enough to answer that question. Infact all through the night last night the other canidates waffled the answers, and stalled repeatly to have the question asked over and over again. I was counting this because Linell looks like she has a disfuction from remembering the questions answered by the moderator. Write them down on a piece of paper dear, so you don't look stupid. In second place was Eric, soft spoken, likeable, with a pleasant demeanor, tried to answer questions, but fell short with vanilla answers. Susan Harvey came in third, only because she didn't have the moderator repeat the question repeatly. At the start of the forum Linell Hardy protested that the Yes on Recall wasn't up here on the body, but they ain't running for a seat, so zip it closed linell and your protest. "Even there the differences were slight, although Barich outlined the most definite ideas, saying the city should ax its planning department and outsource its functions and that bankruptcy may not be avoidable. None of the other candidates agreed with him. He also said raising fines on municipal code violations might be an acceptable way to raise revenue". They never did dissagree with Georges statement, most of them stalling the question by saying we would have to really look hard. If you were on the council, you already are looking hard, stop stalling the truth. The Planning department does need to leave. Finally, l would like to thank the League of Women Voters of Sonoma County for putting on a great debate last night, and making sure those comment cards of personnal attacks were quickly disposed of.

ShameonYesrecall is George Barich! Hi George!

I'm proudly voting to recall. First things you do in office are misuse official stationery and go blackface, you clearly are a stooge and a mistake was made that needs correctly. Nobody else pulled stunts like that as soon as they got into office. Go away George!

I feel so honored you would think i am George Barich, but l wasn't seated anywhere in the front area, I was standing in the back. I do appreciate that you think I have creative writing like George does. /bow I am voting No on the recall because recalls are for removing members of the council who have broken the law. A standing offer still stands regarding $1000.00 if their is any proof that George Barich was repremanded by the Council as a whole. Start digging, and maybe you too will finally see the light.

Cotati Ex-Mayor Guardino used official city letterhead to submit his letter of resignation to the city just last week. Was Guardino representing the entire city council when he used city stationary to resign? Was he representing the entire city council? Did he deprive poor Linell Hardy of her right to "free speech" by not giving the "people" the opportunity to "weigh in" on his resignation? How absurd the far left is, whining about their lost voices.

Where was the outrage of the personal use of city stationary from the city council and Yes Recall nutjobs? Oh, that's right. Guardino is a Democrat. How ignorant of me ! This is politics, pure and simple, Cotati style. Someone could and should lodge an ethics complaint for the misuse of city stationary as it reads in the newly revised version. If it all wasn't so sad, it would be funny.

Hi Adrianne, i don't know if you were at the Forum last night, but I was. It's clear to me according to the walkpiece George Barich is handing out that he will refuse all paychecks. He has that right to do this with or without stipulations. Refusing the paycheck doesn't mean handing them back. It means he will not cash the checks. Turning the checks over means he is giving his right to receive monies. All along George Barich has told everyone, including you l beleive, he will not cash a single paycheck until the city is solvent. He has lived up to his promise. I am sure you would cash your paycheck, he has never lied.

Wow...Adrinne...you just can't let this go. He does not take his salary, nor can you prove he did. Just because you believe if you say he is lying over and over will never make it truth. Get over it, you are only pointing out the fact this man is the only one willing to save the city a buck while others are voting in an unbalanced budget....pissed off cause we aren't paying for the mess they got themselves into with our taxes...which by the way would have been an additional 20,000 dollar that we don't have....hummmmm willing to risk the city a total of 45,000 dollars cause you dislike opinions other than yours? Shame on you.

Seems like you are proud to make it known publicly how dishonest, cunning and bitter you are by creating such division in this town. It's not power you are feeling....in inadequacy and nothing more than a reflection of you blackened soul....give it up..life is too short to be filled of hate...and remember...behind every action is a reaction and most defiantly there will be consequences....is your conscience clear?

Thxs Kim for the link, now everyone can see how the forum went down. Pay attention to how many times certain canidates ask to repeat the forum questions, l could only giggle at them because they forgot the question. Sure, we want a canidate who can't remember what was asked of them 5 min ago. Not, Vote No on the Recall

It's wonderful to see a perspective that is clear and on target on the forum that took place last night. By the looks of the comments and the organized letters that appeared in today's edition, that the claws, fangs and agenda are revealed to the public. This is not about being fair....not one word was mentioned about the piece that was written, or the other Candidates some of you claim to support. But the attacks and accusations are in full force as we get closer to Nov. 17th.

This recall is nothing more than a personal vendetta and the comments are a clear indication of so. Read the article....the Candidates mostly agreed on issues...even George Barich...so why is he being recalled? It can only be because of personal reasons. It is clear that every single voter who elected him into office is being recalled. Each voice that is represented by Barich is being silenced and the simple fact is our vote is not wanted in Cotati by a handful of dictators. This undemocratic attempt in silencing opposing views and personal discourse for one individual, is nothing more than a handful of adults agree with radical progressive, socialistic and communistic views. If you are so driven by your political convictions...just admit that you indeed have titles for your views....why hid behind lies and your tactics straight out of the Saul Alinsky handbook? Can't figure it out? It's because your in agreement of policies that will destroy the very foundation of this Nation because you despise it and the majority of American's value our Constitution, liberty and freedoms. You all shame this town.

I am proud to support George Barich and the NO on Recall effort.
