These guys think they can use those placards forever. They abuse the system then react violently when caught!! I hope the City prosecutes to the fullest extent of the law!

Well his feet, legs and reflexes seem to be working well to make the stop and scare the shiboodle out of the meter maid. Do they give handicap parking passes for people with anger management issues or do they make them park even further away!?!? Moral of the story for meter maids: give the ticket with nobody seeing you and get the hell out of there!

She probably jacked him all up and treated him like crap- as they ususally do- and he got even more upset. She has no authority to take any property including a disabled plate. She thinks her badge gives her 836 powers of arrest. Never will get conviction for ADW. Another over-charged case because someone messed with one of their own brothers and sisters at SRPD. Charge the guy with felony parking and get on to more important issues. This is a waste of time. Send the meter reader to class on how to deal with difficult people. SHE should be a professional and know how to deescalate these situations- not get in the guys face and jack him up and get him more angry? Was I there? No. Do I have to be? No- they do it all the time and enjoy ruining everyone's day downtown.

An entitlement issue? Hmm, I wonder if this individual was from Marin? There's plenty of them there!

I don't think you see where I'm going. Being white and a BMW driver doesn't mean you have a license. Fair reporting would make not having a license an appropriate item for every traffic story.

jeez, i wish we could see what this little douchebag looks like... oh wait, here we go:
Link

apparently, he "f#@king rules"

and to quote him further, from his myspace:
"Something is fucked off with my brain. I'm not quite sure what it is yet, but the last thing my doctor suggested before Medi-Cal fucked me over was temporal lobe epilepsy because it fits the symptoms and makes perfect sense. Lame, right? Who would have thought a good knock on the head at 7 would make a difference more than 15 years later? If you witness child abuse of any kind, please report it... seriously, we don't need any more people running around with brain injuries just waiting to grow up to be completely ******* insane. Razzer"

so beware of a pudgy young man with many various issues stemming from an abusive upbringing in mendo county. he plays way too many video games and has developed quite a god complex. if somebody threatens him and his bmw, he's bound to fly off the handle and try to run you down.

RE: LINK to the little dear's MySpace: Ewwww.....that's kinda like looking at a bad wreck but you can't turn away. I think I threw up a little in my mouth. Remind me not to ever go downtown again. Watch "Parking Wars" on A+E network, it's a hoot how stupid people can be when boldly breaking the law. They, too, end up learning you can't outrun Motorola. There's a cop right around the corner. To the pokey. Oh, and I've almost been run down several times both on and off the road by BMW's. They're the new Crackermobile for the lower class, it seems.

This had nothing to do with BUSINESS, you dolt! It had to do with illegal parking and an assault on a city officer who was just doing the job we pay her to do.

Another complete generalization. I suggest you take a course in creative thinking. Maybe your next post might show a glimmer of intelligence.
You weren't there, alright; so case closed!

By chance did you even bother to read the article before commenting?

"A SR man, angry over getting a ticket for illegally parking in a handicapped space, ripped it up & drove his car at a parking officer. The driver stopped within inches of hitting the golf cart-like buggy.

According to the victim & an independent witness, he got within inches. He rapidly accelerated, aiming the car at her, then came to a stop just before colliding with her.

Witnesses heard him screaming at her, yelling at her, profanities. After he threw the ticket at her, Sala got back into her vehicle & headed onto Silva Avenue & began calling police.

She did the right thing, backed away from him. She wasn't expecting him to drive at her. She was calling as it happened.”

People like you (who file frivolous lawsuits & make trumped up claims against LE) are one of the reasons why cities have to spend (READ: WASTE) thousands & thousands of taxpayer dollars (like the $15k Petaluma just spent in the GPS/radar gun case). Roll Eyes

Certainly I wasn't there, and I don't have to "learn the law" to point out your lack of reasoning. You admitted that you were not there, yet you went ahead and blithely assumed it was the meter-reader's fault that this nutcase virtually attacked her.

You might want to consider a course in creative thinking. Did you re-read your original post point-by-point? You immediately assumed that all meter readers are rude and at fault, without presenting proof or any examples. Does this not show a lack of reasoning, and is it not a perfect example of the fallacy of generalization? It is a shame that you had to attack me personally; I'm a big boy and can take it, but I sure hate to see examples of fuzzy thinking as illustrated in your original post, and would have much preferred if you had stated just why you thought I was wrong in what I said.

Sorry if you can't see my point, but as comedian Ron White has pointed out: "You can't fix Stupid." Smiler
