today for at least an hour I was stuck in traffic because santa rosa can't spare one officer to control traffic when the stop light at cleaveland and gernville was out for at least 6 hours we pay ten percent sales tax for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't beleive it
how is the goverment gonna control your heath care when the can't even control an intercetion |

Mayor Susan Gorin is a police hater and has probably cut the force.
First, most of the sales tax goes to the state rather than to the local governments. And the state itself doesn't pay much attention to individual intersections. Second, if everyone had been following the rules (treating it like a stop sign) there probably wouldn't have been much trouble. Third, in response to b335494, I think it would be incorrect to call Mayor Gorin a police hater. Furthermore, it's kind of a disrespectful thing to say. Finally, I don't think the government should control healthcare, although it would not be the same governmental entity that maintains traffic lights and commissions the police. |

1.5% is going to the city TNG. And she IS a police hater. She just FIRED THE CHIEF OF POLICE.
They also hired a new chief of police. The fact that someone fires someone or encourages him to resign does not mean that person hates all people in that profession. The supervisors encouraged Bob Deis to resign. But that doesn't mean that they hate people in government administration. If a grocery store owner fires a checkout clerk, does that mean that the grocery store owner hates grocery store clerks? Of course not. Use a little logic. If you want to present evidence that the Mayor hates the police, feel free to do so. But present actual evidence. |
That is evidence. You just don't want to see it. TYPICAL LIBIOT. |
So if a grocery store manager fires a clerk, it means he hates clerks? And the county supes hate administrators in general?
Yup, that's what b335494 is saying. |

Why is it that the least intelligent forum goers have the highest post count on this board? |

LOL Good observation! |

This is funny. There was a signal out at the corner of Sonoma and Farmers Lane. I saw a police officer in their patrol car ignore an obviously confused intersection and continue on. Apparently there are some police out there who don't wish to take the safety part of their job very seriously. On the other hand, if people knew how to drive in this town, this wouldn't be a problem. That unfortunetly is a low percentage in my opinion.

No actually it shows how stupid we are as a society that we need a LIGHT to control our safety.
Police always arrive after the fact. How about we just ALL learn to be SAFE drivers. |
The use of a light doesn't necessarily indicate stupidity. Although lights do make intersections safer, if we were all very careful, we could navigate major intersections without them. But the main benefit of traffic lights is efficiency. Imagine how long you would have to wait at an intersection if there were no light. It would be terrible. |
