daaaand, just watched the new show on ABC called V (for visitor)
The show looks like it's a complete analogy to the current political scene. That weird ass retile leader chick is even using a bunch of sayings Obama uses. She insists on the reporter guy only interviewing her in a positive light and asked that she be asked easy questions about her beautiful appearence. The visitors are recruiting the easily persuaded youth in what they call a Peace Ambassador organization with uniforms and sexy imagery. They even advocate a global govt and are offering universal health care for everyone. With 3 years of total obama propaganda across all media, it's weird seeing obvious dissention in the mainstream media twards Obama. Are they already throwing him under the bus or something? __________________________  Obama lied, America died! |

Doubt it Res, the script was assuredly written before BHO's numbers started slipping. The same goes for the overall production. Hollywood types will be one of the last to throw O under the bus. Think of em as a stronghold. |

Oh yeah, that soft flickering light I often fall asleep to. Yawn. I recorded V on one of our DVR's and began watching it. Then darn it! The sandman came and knocked me out as usual. Maybe when I'm not tired? |

Loved the orginal mini-series back in the 80's. The reviews I've seen of the remake give it a lukewarm endorsement at best. Going to skip it unless I hear something different. I'm still trying to get caught wathcing Mad Men, have two episodes of season 2 left, then time to dig into season 3 =)

I liked it. The 80's one was cool too. Wow.....80's, like that is totally a long time ago. You know yer old when Hollywood has remade something 3 or 4 times lol!

Actually, "V" is a sci-fi retelling of a 1935 Sinclair Lewis novel called "It Can't Happen Here," which told the story of a newsman struggling against a fascist regime rising in the US. It's a cautionary tale we should all keep in the backs of our minds no matter which right-wing or left-wing administration is pulling the strings in Washington. That said, I enjoyed last night's pilot far more than I thought I would.  |

A lot of sci-fi wasn't really about aliens at all but then I'm sure most of us know that. I think somebody needs to give Obama a blood test or check for bone.........
