I laughed darkly when I first saw this new "forum". Golly, we may have our speech extremely limited here, but at least we can post pictures of our pets! Also the moving of FORUMS in the front page left hand column from way down at the bottom to up near the top was not lost on me. The Press Democrat is such a silly newspaper. Even posting to the comments on articles is limited to tiny amounts of space. At the SF Chronicle, they allow enough space for some actual give and take; a chance to actually build on a thought, rather than a quick short sentence or two at best. I just saw the post about the page still being up and how you could Google it up, but then I see that even that has been closed. It's downright juvenile they way SRPD management carries on. Oh well, I'm over this paper. I just laugh as I give it a cursory two minute online read each day, then go over to the Chronicle... which I subscribe to five days a week, as well as reading and following online. PD management: Do you hear me?? The CHRONICLE gets my money. They have for quite a few years, and they will continue to.

gee, the "Old Forum" is now underconstruction. I guess the powers that be at the PD don't like honest open debate and strong opinions. Especially those that go against its nanny-state, socialist policies. Get rid of this new piece of garbage and get the old forum back up and running.

Yes, google away. Or..... click the "Old Forum" link in the original post.
Or not, as I did just that and the link appears to be dead now.
