Just received my copy from Lynn C. Woolsey, the outgoing Congresswoman, if we are wise.

In less then five minutes of reading I find this bill violates the very prinicples of our founding fathers.

I quote James Madison, once again, It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice, if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood; if they be repealed or revised before they are promulgated, or undergo such incessant changes that no man who knows what the law is today can guess what it will be to-morrow.

Take the term Acceptable Coverage, it appears on page 9, in the General Definitions. Guess what the General Definition is: The term ‘‘acceptable coverage’’ has the meaning given such term in section 302(d)(2). Now there is an interesting definition for you.

Okay, Section 302 starts on page 156. Section 302(d)(2) is on page 159, Titled ACCEPTABLE COVERAGE.—For purposes of this division, the term ‘‘acceptable coverage’’ means any of the following:
(A) QUALIFIED HEALTH BENEFITS PLAN COVERAGE.—Coverage under a qualified health benefits plan.
(No indication of what a qualified health benefits plan is.)

(B) GRANDFATHERED HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE; COVERAGE UNDER CURRENT GROUP HEALTH PLAN.—Coverage under a grandfathered health insurance coverage (as defined in subsection (a) of section 202) or under a current group health plan (described in subsection (b) of such section). (What??? I have to jump to another section to find out if my Health Insurance Plan is Grandfathered? Or if my Group Insurance Plan is acceptable?)

(C) MEDICARE.—Coverage under part A of title XVIII of the Social Security Act. (I thought they were going to cut medicare)

(D) MEDICAID.—Coverage for medical assistance under title XIX of the Social Security Act, excluding such coverage that is only available because of the application of subsection (u), (z), or (aa) of section 1902 of such Act. (So, if I am on Social Security and get Medicaid, I have to jump to that bill to see if I am qualified or must go into a public option or pay a fine?)

(E) MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES AND DEPENDENTS (INCLUDING TRICARE).—Coverage under chapter 55 of title 10, United States Code, including similar coverage furnished under section 1781 of title 38 of such Code. (So, if I am in the Military I have to read Chapter 55 of Title 10 of the United States Code to see if I have coverage? Or is it Section 1781 of Title 38 of such Code? Or both? It is getting very convoluted here.)

(F) VA.—Coverage under the veteran’s health care program under chapter 17 of title 38, United States Code. (Same Code different Chapter as the above definition or term or whatever it is.)

(G) OTHER COVERAGE.—Such other health benefits coverage, such as a State health benefits risk pool, as the Commissioner, in coordination with the Secretary of the Treasury, recognizes for purposes of this paragraph. (Intersting. If the Commissioner and Secretary of the Treasury recognize my Coverage then it is okay? Why?)

The Commissioner shall make determinations under this paragraph in coordination with the Secretary of the Treasury. (So basically, I will have two people I have never met or voted for determining my plans eligibility for me, is that what I understand here? Why would I trust two people I have never met or voted for?)

Wait, there is more:

From Page 91. (did you notice our pages went backwards? That is how it is written.)

SEC. 202. PROTECTING THE CHOICE TO KEEP CURRENT COVERAGE.
(a) GRANDFATHERED HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE DEFINED.—Subject to the succeeding provisions of this section, for purposes of establishing acceptable coverage under this division, the term ‘‘grandfathered health insurance coverage’’ means individual health insurance coverage that is offered and in force and effect before the first day of Y1 if the following conditions are met:

(1) LIMITATION ON NEW ENROLLMENT.—

(A) IN GENERAL.—Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day of Y1.

(B) DEPENDENT COVERAGE PERMITTED.—Subparagraph (A) shall not affect the subsequent enrollment of a dependent of an individual who is covered as of such first day.

(So, if you are not signed up in such a plan before the Government takes over you are screwed.)

(2) LIMITATION ON CHANGES IN TERMS OR CONDITIONS.—Subject to paragraph (3) and except as required by law, the issuer does not change any of its terms or conditions, including benefits and cost-sharing, from those in effect as of the day before the first day of Y1.

(So, the government forces the company to cast your coverage in stone, no improvements allowed after day one of Y1.)

(3) RESTRICTIONS ON PREMIUM INCREASES.— The issuer cannot vary the percentage increase in the premium for a risk group of enrollees in specific grandfathered health insurance coverage without changing the premium for all enrollees in the same risk group at the same rate, as specified by the Commissioner.

(Does this mean the Commissioner must approve all rate increases?)

Sonoma County Socialists are the death knell for this State. You have spent this State into oblivion, time for you to join it.

We can question & complain all we want but the fact is this IS coming and so is the aftermath!

We deserve NO LESS than the disaster we are about to face!

Personally…. I would piss on Lynn Woolsey IF SHE WAS ON FIRE!

It was a lot more fun talking about gay marriage. At least that I can understand and argue about.

Oh hey, I just had a thought. I wonder how they will handle unsafe sexual behavior? I mean you have smokers, drinkers, overeaters, candy, soda pop, fatty foods, all unsafe and will raise the cost of healthcare. Can't have that.
I'm sure they will expect you to at least try and live a clean life although that might be viewed as discrimination. Of course, government healthcare will trump that in the cause of keeping cost down.
They already have passed laws regarding disclosure of content in foods and beverages and whatnot, warning labels on cigarettes, disclosures on calories and nutritional value in restaurants and the like yet no warning on how a gay marriage may cause aids (within the male population). Hmm, interesting times we live in.

I mean, you get government run healthcare and as we all know, you can’t discriminate but how will it work if they deny you coverage if you aren’t following the rules that you agree to? Agree to, where did that come from?
Oh yeah, to keep cost down, that’s right. So ,maybe like you can marry a dude but just don't.....you know. And if you do, here are some government approved condoms......

Because it’s government run, a different set of rules will apply that were previously regarded as unfair or discriminatory under private care.

OMG, I’m so wrong! Heath care cost will go way up and we all will get it in the ‘end.’ We can’t violate all these laws regarding discrimination, which by the way they pushed. stupid me! I guess they didn’t plan for contingencies huh? Kinda like everything thing else they misjudge huh?
