You know the situation is really out of control when even Andy Griffith's peaceful little town is overrun with illegals. I can just imagine Don Knotts explaining Mexicans to Andy: "Well, Andy, these are your basic Mexican nationals, your typical what we call Latinos. When they turn 18, the Mexican government issues each male citizen one of these here. This is your basic what we call "machete". Your Mexican will typically use this weapon up to four or five times a day." Then Opie would come running in: "Pa! Them Mexicans is got Floyd out behind the barber shop and they's takin' turns! What'll we do?" And Barney would say: "I'll handle this, Andy. I know how to handle your basic Mexican national." The story would end with the Mexicans apologizing for all the trouble they caused, then they'd go to church with Andy and Aunt Bea, after paying a visit to Floyd in the hospital. And Andy would say "Well, I sure am glad you boys is going to get amnesty, you turned out to be a fine bunch of fellows after all! Say, what are you doing with Aunt Bea?"

They're going to have to hire a lot more police now due to the criminal element.

Wanting to know all the facts makes you Mexican?

An "anchor baby" is not an illegal. Nor is the family member brought in by an illegal granted amnesty.

But, for sure, what we are importing from Mexico is not a culture of respect for civility and the law.

Consider - in the neighborhoods taken over by the Mexican immigrant (legal or otherwise) population, are you safe? Can you walk around and say, "what nice neighbors"?

Traveling in Oregon, I see small community areas where the invaders are taking over. I see Chicano men with gang tattoos standing on their front lawns or hanging out on the porch drinking and glaring and wonder how that neighborhood will change as they gain control of it.

This does not reflect on all Chicanos, of course. But it does reflect on a real issue.

Whether they are "legals" or not is somewhat irrelevant. There is a major cultural change being imported, MOST of it illegally, into this country. It is not for the better.

Up here in my area of the Cascades, there are small numbers of Latinos, and they are your regular family types, and they are respected and treated the same as all other residents. So far, there are no gang types here,maybe because of the distance to larger populations. After all, it's pretty hard to claim "turf" when everyone knows everyone else and whose ranch is whose. Gangs can't gain a foothold if people stay alert and respond at first signs of invasion.
I remember when gangs started infiltrating in Santa Rosa....SRPD and SCSO tried to alert the populace to the dangers and advise how to watch their schools, kids and neighborhoods. Neighborhood meetings were held to try to educate people and albums full of mug shots of gang members who were already in the area. Know what response the officers got? Poo-poos and "not a problem here" and "that's in LA, not here". Most people refused to even look at the photo albums.
So, what do you have in Santa Rosa now? You tell me.

So far, small communities here keep the invaders out, they do see a welcome sign, not one low-life Chicano to attract more. They are like cockroaches, and if you let them in, they will stay and multiply. Most of the Latino families here respect the area, they keep their homes clean and neat, their kids attend school and learn English (no classes in Spanish except to learn Spanish) and the community accepts and welcomes them.
There is a difference in respectable people from low-life types, and it matters not what the color of their skin may be or what country they came from. The ones who come here legally are always welcome.

I remember well the 1st mention of the word 'gang' here in Santa Rosa. There was some sort of asian gang thing going on at the time. I think it was the early 80's.
Even as a stupid 20 something I knew we were headed for no place good. My wildwest nightmares have come true thanks to liberal laws, rules, our educational system and of course Reagan who granted amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.
I fell out of love with Republicans after 1986. Now, it's just one big cluster f*^K of lying politicians on both sides. Imagine a 26 years old becoming pessimistic about politics! I can only imagine what all the Obama worshippers are thinking now unless they are totally brainwashed which thankfully I was not, no thanks to public education. The scary thing is Reagan was just about as good as it got. Wow, I'm really venting now and totally off topic lol!

Yeah, so gangs in Mayberry.......no surprise here.
