I propose that we petition both our State and Federal governments to instate exact reciprocity with all foreign governments. We give their citizens the exact same rights that we Americans have in their countries. What could be more fair?

You would have to petition the Federals .. state and local really doesn't have much say in Immigration policy. They get in trouble for simply enforcing existing policy (see Az). Then you have the problem of IF you get a policy; enforcing it. We have immigration policy now but it isn't enforced. Too many special interests keeping that from happening (see why States are in trouble for enforcing Immigration laws).
Personally, I think your best bet at any real change is revolution. The war has already begun and Mexico is winning it while most Americans don't even know we are at war on our own soil. Nothing like being ganked from behind while your troops are in another country. Then to add insult to injury, we are expected to pick up the tab for our demise. We foot the bill and if we resist or complain we are thrown in jail. Maybe we already lost and I just don't know it yet. /baffled "The moral and constitutional obligations of our representatives in Washington are to protect our liberty, not coddle the world, precipitating no-win wars, while bringing bankruptcy and economic turmoil to our people." --Ron Paul |
