and http://www.nationalpost.com/most_popular/story.html?id=164002 Gee, maybe AlGore is wrong. Whodathunkit? subjoe Justice Robert H. He's not wrong... he's just a little short on being right.
Oh yes, and he is also a contemptible hypocrite enriching himself by marketing a mix of junk science, incomplete theory and hysteria. One can only hope that some people, somewhere, in authority will eventually call BS and stop this socialist madness. |

Well he needs to find some way of paying for all that electricity and natural gas he uses at his Nashville area mansion. Sheeeeesh...

Sometimes, the scientists just can't admit that they were wrong. Bloomberg has this:
Or, your original premise could have been wrong..... The point to remember is that what the government gives it must first take away. John S. Coleman |

Again... never wrong. Just a little short on being right. But hey, I've always been a glass half full kind of guy. |

What I find hilariously revealing about how gullible the world has become is that Algore not only won an Oscar (can you believe it?!?) but the Nobel Committee gave him a NOBEL PEACE PRIZE!!! BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Sorry for the outburst. Truth is there has never been conclusive irrefutable evidence that WE are causing global warming, so when all the little chickens in the yard jumped on Chicken Little's bandwagon (oh, I mean Algore's bandwagon) I just had to shake my head. An Oscar and a Nobel Peace Prize. LOL Is anyone really paying attention anymore?

Some of us are. But too many care more about Paris or Anna or who gets voted off the island than about the real world. They jump on whatever emotional bandwagon happens to pass by. We see it with climate change, war on drugs, war on poverty, gun confiscation, etc, etc, etc. It doesn't matter that the ideas don't work, and good research and science shows that they don't work or may even make matters worse, there is that emotional need to 'do something' about everything. Couple that with the idea that somehow the State is supposed to solve all our problems for us, and you end up with the mess we have today. subjoe Justice Robert H. global warming/cooling is natural cycle that our planet has had for millions of years. the idea of man-made G/B can be disproven by a very simple question: How has every ice age ended??
we have had G/B the last couple hundred years cuz we came out of a "little ice age." if you see a light at the end of the tunnel, it's just a photon torpedo |

Damn, what am I going to do with all that ocean front property in th foothills I bought? ;-)

Yes again, thank you to Al Gore.

Wow, are you all really that dense?
Yes, climate change is naturally occurring. But it has been scientifically PROVEN that human activity is speeding up the process. So instead of it affecting our great grandchildren's lives it is affecting our lives and our children's. Reducing the world's greenhouse gas emissions will slow down the process. If America and China stop burning obscene amounts of coal and start driving electric vehicles it will make a HUGE difference. But the climate change ball has already begun rolling: ocean temps are warming which melts glaciers and permafrost which releases even more CO2 into the atmosphere. That is why it is so important to act now. You people who deny that we are making an impact are burying your heads in the sand. |

saunterelle,
put my head in the sand??? i can say the same about you and everyone else who supports your fanatical point of view. who is gonna pay for everyone getting an electric vehicle?? you?? if not, here is a can of "Shut the Hell up!!" if you see a light at the end of the tunnel, it's just a photon torpedo |

There is no point really arguing with people that believe that Al Gore is right because those kind of people just like to make up more stories to show that their right and the rest of the people like us are just wrong "anyone who really believes Al Gore is right should not be considered american anymore because of his belief to change the bad, What the hell is the bad thing i ask you", And back in the middle ages it was even colder or hotter back in the old "Jeez it must of been of all the SUV's that the indians were driving, so explain to me of how back then it was even more of a hot temperatue then what it is now.

You happen to have sources to back the claim of scientific proof up?
Try getting the Chinese to sign on to the Kyoto Protocols. Both they and India were specifically exempted, don't you know.
So then why is the reach of Antartic sea ice the greatest this year that it has been in decades? And in case you didn't know it, CO2 is a fertilizer. It's what all green plants use in photosynthesis. The entire hysteria around CO2 is a hoax.
And you people who are so insistent that the hand of man is solely responsible for climate change on a global scale, and can somehow alter that course, are suffering from a delusional state of how much impact we can really have on nature. Computer models and theory, not hard science, are at the core of the global warming hysteria. Do some honest academic research and get back to us. |

Uh, wolfpack, it isn't Al Gore I'm listening to, it's the VAST MAJORITY of scientists around the world who believe that we are speeding up the earth's climate change. The definition of climate change is any long-term significant change in the “average weather” that a given region experiences. Average weather may include average temperature, precipitation and wind patterns. It involves changes in the variability or average state of the atmosphere over durations ranging from decades to millions of years.
Understand that Wolfpack? So it's not that you walk outside one day and think "oh, it's not very hot today so climate change must not be happening." What moronic approach! Sldghamr, check out the documentary "Who Killed the Electric Car." The technology is there for the same price as our cars cost now. If we required strict MPG standards we could start to ween ourselves off oil dependency. Even your buddy George W has admitted that we are contributing to climate change. So YOU have the fanatical viewpoint! Not the majority of people around the world who have figured out what is really going on. |
