Keep telling yourself that. The truth is that the VAST MAJORITY of the world's scientists agree on this issue. Your view is in the minority.

You keep drinking the Pope Gore kool aid.

Funny as a boy I was told POSITIVELY by the same "Vast Majority" (Laughable as I have an advanced science degree myself Textile Chemistry/Polymer Sciences)that we'd all be frozen dead by now. We're fine.

Is that the SAME VAST MAJORITY that made the documentary "The Great Global Warming Swindle" That A UK judge ruled HAD TO BE SHOWN to students seeing "an inconvenient truth".

You mean to tell me the people who cannot ACCURATELY predict the weather 3 days from now. Can magically ACCURATELY predict the weather 100 years from now?

Your religion of "ManMade GlobalWarming" is a business. If the people in that business suddenly changed their viewpoints(to the more ACCURATE assesment)they would lose their RESEARCH FUNDING. Ie. their JOBS!!

Solar Cycles, Not CO2, Determine Climate.

Why don't we address the fact that Earth is not the only planet to be experiencing climate change in our solar system currently. In fact, many astronomers have announced that Pluto has been experiencing global warming...Mans fault I am SURE.

Corrective environmental policies would have a minuscule impact on the climate. According to its OWN PROJECTIONS, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s own plan would spare the earth only a few hundredths of a degree of warming by middle of the next century.

Al Gore is not a climatologist, meteorologist, astronomer, or scientist of any kind; he is a politician. And as we all know, politicians always tell the truth.....

A group of scientists recently stated that the research behind Al Gore’s film and in fact, the concept of greenhouse gases causing global warming, is “a sham”. They claim that in fact, there is very little evidence to prove that theory, and that the evidence actually points to an increase in solar activity being the cause of climate change.

In conclusion please explain this little tid bit away.

In 1915 on June 27th it was 100*F in Fort Yukon ALASKA. Hottest ever on record in Alaska in 1915!!!Was it the CO2 from all those model T's?

How can you explain away the FACT that 95% of the countries HIGHEST Temperatures. Occured prior to 1970, many prior to 1940..again ALL THOSE gasses? Huh?

Ah saunterelle, the electric car was dead on arrival, and anyone with half a brain knows this. The key to making a truly viable electric car lies in the technology of storing electricity, which is cumbersome at best. And, you may not be aware of this, but the electric car has already run it’s course, and is still plagued by many of the same problems today that it had over one hundred years ago. So, who killed the Electric Car? Or the more proper question is, What Killed the Electric Car?

The decline of the electric vehicle was brought about by several major developments:

1. By the 1920s, America had a better system of roads that now connected cities, bringing with it the need for longer-range vehicles.
2. The discovery of Texas crude oil reduced the price of gasoline so that it was affordable to the average consumer.
3. The invention of the electric starter by Charles Kettering in 1912 eliminated the need for the hand crank.
4. The initiation of mass production of internal combustion engine vehicles by Henry Ford made these vehicles widely available and affordable in the $500 to $1,000 price range. By contrast, the price of the less efficiently produced electric vehicles continued to rise. In 1912, an electric roadster sold for $1,750, while a gasoline car sold for $650.

No matter how much propaganda you read, the above facts have not changed. The electric car is more expensive, does not have the range of an internal combustion engine and is every expensive to keep charged. Not to mention the fact that in order to charge your electric car you must plug it into a slot that draws power from one of our major polluters, the electric company.

I would suggest you start with a real scientist, if you are going to listen to people, so start here:
Review by Atmospheric Scientist S. Fred Singer

Review by Sea Level Specialist Dr. Nils-Axel Mörner

Better yet, read all these from various scientists around the world.

Our sea levels are not rising, man is not contributing to global warming in any significant way and our glaciers are not receding as the IPCC suggests. Hysteria is being used to redistribute wealth, that is all.

Alchemy is an ancient & noble art/science that endured for centuries. It's practitioners were the leading scientists of the day. It is concerned with transforming one element into another. The classic application involves changing common heavy metals like lead into rarer ones such as silver & gold. Algore is swiftly becoming a billionaire simply by transforming carbon into gold. Your carbon. His gold. Of course, it doesn't hurt that an ever-trustworthy Federal beaurocracy will seize control of every aspect of production & distribution as a side benefit. Pretty sweet deal. All it takes is a slew of self-serving Federal grant-funded scientists to validate their own theorem, & an even bigger slew of gullible guilt-ridden sheeple to buy it. Sorry, no sale saunterelle. I'll run my A/C when it's hot & burn my firewood when it's cold. You go ahead & march in lockstep over the cliff. You're bound to feel better about yourself eventually; hopefully before you hit the valley floor below.

Very nicely put Capt.

Too bad the Kool Aid drinkers, no matter how many ACCREDITED EXPERTS no matter HOW MUCH PROVEN SCIENTIFIC DATA is brought out.

Kool Aid drinkers will NEVER concede they're wrong. Until the day that Pope Gore comes out and says it was all junk science. And since he STILL thinks he is "The Elected US President" we KNOW this will NEVER happen.

Did the "scientists" who SWORE we'd all be frozen by 1980, ever to this day concede they were wrong?

AlGore won a Nobel Prize because he DUPED the Nobel Committee into buying his ridiculous theory about global warming, which we now know is false.

ROTFLOL! Perhaps you haven't read the paper this week. The new Concern Du Jour is "global cooling", sweetheart. Now we're in a "10 year cooling trend". Global warming was a fraud, honey, just like AlGore is a fraud, and clearly, you bought his b.s. hook, line and sinker. Sad, that.

LOL Show me the proof of evolution, sister. It's not there. You are deluded about everything you're posting about here. How embarrassing.

So, now that Bush and most Republicans in the Congress and Senate believe human activity is expediting climate change, are you still going to whine that it's the "Liberal agenda?"

Read the paper, sister: Global cooling is the new problem. They think it'll be a 10 year cooling period now.

Pathetic. The refreshing truth is that Obama and McCain have both made reducing America's impact on climate change a top priority. So whoever is elected in November is going to take action. Like it or not.

You need to start paying attention and stop reading Liberal news sources. They've filled your head completely with b.s. The truth is out there, sister, but you have to want to find it.

Oh wait this one..

No Way

So as you can see of you managed to click, the VAST majority. Might not be quite as VAST as you believe.

You're obviously not understanding the nature of CLIMATE CHANGE. It doesn't mean that everything gets HOTTER all at once.

It is "any long-term significant change in the “average weather” that a given region experiences. Average weather may include average temperature, precipitation and wind patterns. It involves changes in the variability or average state of the atmosphere over durations ranging from decades to millions of years. These changes can be caused by dynamic process on Earth, external forces including variations in sunlight intensity, and more recently by human activities."

So it can be warming, cooling, changes in seasonality, strength and frequency of storms, etc. Get it!?

Wow! I get it now! Any change in the weather is indicative of climate change. If it gets hotter; colder; wetter or drier, all are clear & irrefutable signs of climate change. Add man; specifically Americans & their wasteful & polluting ways and there you have it. All doubt has now been removed. Anthropogenic climate change is by far the most pressing issue facing the world today. Those poor oppressed Muslims are just unsung warriors fighting the good fight against the great satan in order to help the planet stave off the dire & imminent threat that your plans for a weekend GLBT picnic will be spoiled by a passing shower.
(sarcasm off)
So you're saying any weather is evidence that you are correct? Cool! Unassailable! Sophomoric! Arrogant! Kinda like our Pres. choices in Nov. Hopefully, Pres. McCain will do what Bubba did w/his famed middle class tax cut; the one we were promised in 1992. Remember? After inauguration, he bit his lip & told us he just couldn't do it 'cuz of stuff that just came up. Sad, sincere & silly. Po' Bubba; po' saunterelle.

Po' bitter George. You're getting way off base. This is not an American vs. Muslim thing. Nor is it an anti-American thing as long as America is making progress in curbing their greenhouse gas emissions and pollution. China is in hot water too, don't take it so personally.

And if you read the definition it doesn't say "any change in the weather." It is "any long-term significant change in the “average weather” that a given region experiences." It's something that is scientifically measurable. Those measurements have shown that human activity has had a strong impact on the rate at which climate change is occurring. If it's at all possible to minimize our impact it is our duty to do so.

Au contraire, saunt. The Muslim allusion is to point out a clear & present danger, rather than a dubious interpolation of climate data bent to fit the agenda of the messenger. Muslims actually do want to kill you, unlike BIG OIL. Our duty is to protect this nation & those that cherish liberty. Nothing more.
Your concensus of scientists is falling apart like a tinfoil hat in a tornado. Do you actually believe that carbon is a greater threat than Islam? Silly girl; we've seen this panic in your eyes before. Try living your life like an American; proud, strong, free & unafraid.

Now you're showing your true colors. Go preach your Jihad religious war dreams somewhere else. I can guarantee you that "Muslims" don't want to kill me. Once your neocon buddies are kicked out out of office in November the fear mongering in America will end and we can move on to address real problems.

Uh, yeah. Real problems. Not those silly distractions w/the planes & the buildings. And it's okay to be honest in your posts. You don't have to hide behind the "neocon" label. You can just go ahead & call them what you call them w/your pals. You know; Jews. Conservative Jews that used to be liberals. And a Happy 60th birthday to Israel w/many happy returns. Enjoy the heatwave!

Saunterelle-

You're right.

So totally right. Climate change is definitely a more real problem then the current Geo-Political Situation.

Question: How is the Climate Change Fear-Mongering any different that the Terrorism Fear-Mongering? Is it because Climate Change doesn't have a color code system yet? Or do they... What about fire danger ratings? Holy Crap! Climate Change is coming for me. Better cancel my 4th of July plans... The Climate Change rating just changed from yellow to orange...

George wrote: "Muslims actually do want to kill you"

There are 1.4 billion Muslims in the world. If they wanted to kill me I think I'd be dead. Lol.

"Uh, yeah. Real problems. Not those silly distractions w/the planes & the buildings."

Planes flying into buildings cost 2,974 people their lives.

At least 1,836 people lost their lives in Hurricane Katrina and in the subsequent floods, making it the deadliest U.S. hurricane since the 1928 Okeechobee Hurricane. Katrina is estimated to have been responsible for $81.2 billion (2005 U.S. dollars) in damage, making it the costliest natural disaster in U.S. history.

The recent cyclone in Mayanmar has killed 43,318 with another 27,838 missing.

The recent earthquake in China has killed 15,000 with another 25,000 missing.

So George, if climate change is responsible for a greater frequency and intensity of natural disasters around the world then it is MORE important than terrorism concerns.

Iraqvet, the difference is that the fear mongering that was used to drive us to war was based upon FALSO intelligence reports. We were told that weapons inspectors couldn't finish their job because we were in grave danger. It was a lie.

The climate change issue has been studied extensively and is agreed upon by most of the world's scientists. Taking action will not cost anyone their lives, it will only serve save lives and make our world a better place.

OK, Saunterelle, now you are claiming that climate change causes major earthquakes?
" The recent earthquake in China has killed 15,000 with another 25,000 missing.

So George, if climate change is responsible for a greater frequency and intensity of natural disasters around the world then it is MORE important than terrorism concerns." Your words, not mine.

Care to post links to some peer reviewed literature that supports that view? I can't wait to see this.

Oh, and care to provide the numbers to support your claim: "The climate change issue has been studied extensively and is agreed upon by most of the world's scientists." I'm looking for the total number of scientists, all fields since that seems to be your claim, and the number who fully support the antropogenic hypothesis of climate change.

Also, your statement: "Taking action will not cost anyone their lives, it will only serve save lives and make our world a better place." is false. some of the fixes, most specifically the use of ethanol to replace fossil fuels, HAS cost lives as production of grains and other crops has dropped in some places and the land is now used to produce corn to make ethanol. this has driven up food prices and the UN is concerned that more deaths due to starvation now because the poorest can no longer afford food. Yep, the quick fix is sure making the world a better place. The alarmists really need to learn to do good research and project the true cost and the true effects of their plans. That good old Law of Unintended Consequences will get you every time.
