Well, this morning I had the pleasure of driving past the place where the big party was last night. The parking lot that it was held in was close to being carpeted with papers, food containers and wrappers, beverage cups, corn cobs, etc, etc, etc.
Lovely sight to behold. If any other gathering had fights like this has had every year, and generated that much trash for the city to clean up, the city would have banned it after the 2nd year. Can you imagine what the City would do if the US Independance Day celebrations had half the problems that this has? (side note - why is the Battle of Puebla such a big thing up here? In Mexico, it is barely notice. The big day is in September. Maybe we should start having Lexington and Corcord Day" celebrations, marches, and demonstrations) subjoe Justice Robert H. Jackson - It is not the function of the government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the government from falling into error. |
