Remember when it was such a good idea to move the California primary up to February? Remember how it would give California much more influence in the selection of the Democrat nominee?

Remember that another issuue on the February primary ballot was the modification to the state's term limits requirements? Remember how that had to be voted on in February so that, if it passed, certain members of the Legislature would be able to run again in June? Remember how that one landed like a dead duck in a shallow pond?

Just think of where the Democrat race would be today if California's voters were still in play. The Obama and Clinton campaigns would be carpet-bombing the voters with fliers, TV ads and robo-calls. But, no, we had to elbow our way to the front of the race.
